5-Step Account Plan
These steps describe how we will work on your account:
1. Where are you now?
What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses? What are your problems?
What are your opportunities? We dive into all the research and literature
so we thoroughly understand all the factors that affect your current situation.
2. Where do you want to be?
What is your potential share of the market? Your numerical goals? How do you
want your customers to think about you, your product, your service?
3. How are you going to get there?
Based on what we have
learned in steps one and two, we design a strategy that will enable you to
reach your goals... and a marketing communications mix that executes that
strategy.
4. Your program.
This is our product. The actual ads, direct-mail pieces, P.O.P. displays, television
and radio commercials, and website designs —whatever
we have determined will get you where you want to be. Before we go to work,
we provide you with projected costs in the form of Job Planning Guides for
your review and approval.
5. Results.
Are we meeting your goals? We check throughout the process to be sure our plan
is achieving what we said it would.
